Each character within the Luminauts world is painstakingly researched. Starting with an idea concept comprimising of emotions, cloak style, what style of lantern they carry and accents shown on their cloaks.

The character is then created visually with a rough pencil drawing

These are then further developed by hand drawing the character as a 3 stage concept going from initial concept, to a refined then a final concept.

After this a mood board is created to show character styling. This covers their colour scheme, eyes, cloak & hood as well as their lantern.

This helps create a more fully rounded character that both children and adults alike can fall in love with.
